Annual Meeting of the International Spinal Research Trust

Victoria Spruance was awarded first place in the presentation awards at the meeting for her work on neural cell transplantation to repair the injured cervical spinal cord.

Summer

Summer saw the addition of 3 outstanding students to the team:

Marielle Melconian (visiting undergraduate student from Boston College)

Robert McSweeney (medical student enrolled at Drexel)

Hannah Gold (medical student enrolled at Drexel)

We are extremely grateful for all their effort! While we are sorry to see Marielle leave us to return to Boston, we are also really pleased that Rob and Hannah have agreed to stay on and continue their research involvement throughout the coming year when their schedule permits.

Pint of Science

Michael Lane will be presenting an overview of how spinal cord injury can impair breathing, and the work that his research team is pursuing, at the upcoming Pint of Science event in Philadelphia (May 18th, 2015 @ 6:00pm).
