The 2017 Australian of the Year Award goes to spinal cord injury and stem cell scientist - Professor Alan Mackay Sim. Congratulations! Prof Mackay Sim's acceptance speech highlights the need for investment in spinal cord injury research. Scientists around the world are making tremendous progress and we hope to see that continue.

We are extremely grateful for all their effort! While we are sorry to see Marielle leave us to return to Boston, we are also really pleased that Rob and Hannah have agreed to stay on and continue their research involvement throughout the coming year when their schedule permits.
